Janis called from Albuquerque and said she went from 61 degrees in Dallas to 31 with light snow in Albuquerque (so did we in the Tx. panhandle!). But she had talked to Emily and she told her that the liver doctor had come in and the antibiotics had made no difference in the liver function. So...they plan on doing another sonogram and will be looking for an abscess. If there is an abscess, they will "fix it." And if they can't find it, they will change the antibiotic once again. The infectious disease doctor told them that the liver looks fine to him. But he said that the liver doctor had probably never seen anything like Emily's case and is being extra cautious. Obviously, the fluid the liver is producing in the abdomen is infected (as well as her bladder). The liver is trying to repair itself from the crisis. So please pray that God heals Emily's liver. Pray that it quits producing this fluid in her abdomen. Pray that the infection/abscess is healed.
Emily said she's also trying not to drink as much so that she'll be hungry and eat more food! So please pray that she has an appetite.
Thank you for praying!
James 5:17
"The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]."
