I talked to Luke and he said the tracheotomy is still set to happen at 2:00 this afternoon. He asked us all to be praying that it goes extremely well.
They've already done dialysis this morning and that went well, he said. They are going to begin weaning Emily off of the sedatives and that will probably be a shock to her system. Pray that she endures that well. We really want her to wake up, but dread the pain that will come with it. There are no lab results yet today, but Luke expects to hear a report on that later on. Let's cover Emily in prayer between now and when we get the report that the tracheotomy is successfully completed!
I have to tell you a heartwarming story. When Luke said he'd taken his phone in to show Emily a picture of Sarah, my heart just broke! I wanted an 8x10 so that Emily wouldn't have to strain to see her new baby. So, I contacted Paige Jones who was going to help with the children today and asked her if she had a digital camera. She does!! And she's agreed to take pictures of Sarah and have an 8x10 made for Emily to keep at the hospital. But her generosity didn't stop there. She's going to keep a running commentary of pictures going while Emily is hospitalized and make a book of them so that Emily sees the stages of Sarah's changes when she comes home. Doesn't that just make your heart sing?? This is just one story among hundreds of people reaching out and helping the Panters. You are a very giving, generous people. Thank you! And thank you, Paige!!
Psalm 33:20
"We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield."

Dear Bro. Luke,
Just wanted you to know we have been praying for Emily, you and the family since this happened. We are trusting that the Lord will heal her completely and she will be home in a very short time. Our prayers are with you and if there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call.
Love,
Marion, Glenna and Jack
