A "Wait & See" Day

I talked to Luke around noon and he said that today was going to be a "wait & see" day. They were going to turn down the oxygen level more on Emily's ventilator to further wean her from the vent. Then they'll wait and see if they can take her off of it by tonight. The plan is not to do dialysis today---to wait & see what her kidneys will do. So....we wait.
But while we wait, let's ask God to strengthen her kidneys and cause them to start functioning on their own. And let's ask God to strengthen her lungs so that she can come off of the ventilator. I've never been on one myself, but I've heard how much better you start feeling after you come off of one.
And can I take this opportunity to remind you that we'd love to flood Emily's hospital room with cards? My desire is that when she wakes up, she's surrounded by a roomful of love. You can send her a card to:

Luke & Emily Panter
c/o Bridgeview Baptist Church
PO Box 820
Quinlan, TX 75474

And if you'd like to be a part of helping the Panters financially through this difficult time, we encourage you to use the "Donate" button at the top right-hand corner of this page. It's very easy to use. You can use a credit card, a debit card or a check!
Thank you for praying. Luke has said how much he can feel the prayers. Thank you for waiting with the family as they wait on Emily's body to overcome the shock it's been through. And thank you to all who have given. You've blessed the Panters. And as we wait....

Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.

Today is Sunday. While we were at church, everyone was coming up and asking how you were. You're going to be amazed at how many people know you by name! And most importantly, God knows and He's hearing and answering prayer as we wait. I love you!

Hi Emily and Luke
This is Aunt Brenda
We have been praying all week, Psalms 118:17 which talks about living and not dying to proclaim all the marvelout things that God has done for you. I remember being on life support on one occasion when the Holy Spirit ran this scripture===like a tiker tape over and over in my mind!! Luke you had just been to our house for the July 4th week, that summer. God is faithful.. His answers are on the way before we can form the requests into words.
I called Alice Halbert, Tommy Halbert and Brenda George and Lake Arlington Baptist to be praying Psalms 118:17 for you after Kristen called me, Monday night.

Love
