Dialysis Tonight

Janis called and told me that they would begin dialysis on Emily tonight at 6:30. It will probably last about 4 hours. Please be praying that it will take the stress off of Emily's body and give her kidneys the resolve to begin functioning on their own.
Emily's cousin, David, had the idea of setting up an online account to give to Luke & Emily to help meet their needs during this time. To your right you will see a "Donate" button. If you feel led to give to them, every dime will go directly to Luke & Emily to help with all their financial needs through this difficult experience. I thought it was a great idea and so proud of David for thinking of a way to help them. It's very easy to use---and I know it will ease that pressure Luke must feel.
If we have to wait, it's so nice waiting with you. I know Emily is going to be so blessed....so blown away by this outpouring of love on her behalf. In fact, it will just embarress her! She's not used to being the center of attention. But God uses people like Emily to bring the most glory to Himself, doesn't He? Humble people. People willing to submit to Him and be in the background.
So thank you. Thank you for waiting with us and praying for Emily and her family. We're blessed.

Emily and Family,
I just wanted you all to know that I have had so many people either come up to me or call and ask, "How is Emily?" Not...how is your cousin...but how is Emily. Your name is being lifted up in prayer.
Gosh, Em, I love you and I have just been begging God to completely restore you. I know that he will. I love you and sure do wish that I could see all my family face to face just to tell you how much I love all of you. All of you are continuously on my mind.

Praying that the dialysis brings relief to your body and gives your kidneys a jump start back to full function. As I pray for you in dialysis now I am praying for God to put this song in your heart: "There's a sweet sweet spirit in this place, and I know that it's the presence of the Lord....sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us, filling us with your love....and for these blessings we lift our heart is praise...without a doubt we'll know that we have been revived when we shall leave this place." I pray the room is filled with His Spirit. 8:14pm

Emily, we are praying for complete restoration. I'm putting the kids to bed thinking of your kids. I'm praying that there is nothing but calmness surrounding them and Luke's mom. You can probably guess there is chaos in my house now. You have not left my thougts once since the beginning and you will continue to stay in my prayers as we see you and your family through this time.
