Luke brought the kids up for Emily to see today. They had a great time. Emily held Sarah a good long time--until she began to get tired. It was the highlight of her day seeing all of her kids!
Janis said she also walked around her hall 4 times---which is really good. The doctor came in and took the bandage off the area where her trach had been and then put 2 strips over it. I'm thinking she must have meant like a butterfly bandage--and then put a bandaid over that. Her neck was getting really sore from all of the adhesives from the bandaids.
Emily has also had a headache for 3 days. She's thinking it's because her prescription from her glasses have changed. She said that after the birth of each of her children, her prescription changes.
Her white blood cell count is up and the doctor put her on a new antibiotic to treat any infections.
I could hear Emily in the background tell me that she's sleeping better. So that's good! I think Jeff had gone to "On the Border" and had gotten them some Mexican food. Emily said it wasn't as good as she remembered! ha! But she was eating--and Janis said she's eating better all the time.
So it sounds like Emily has had a good Sunday afternoon. Janis will stay with Emily until tomorrow and then she'll go stay with Jeff until Tuesday morning. Jeff will then take Janis to the airport early Tuesday morning for her flight home.
Pray that Emily is healed of her infection. Pray that her headache goes away. Pray that she regains her strength quickly. And pray for Janis--she's getting another sinus infection.
