Monday Night

I called Kim this evening and she said that the only change in Emily has been they've increased the pressure on her respirator from 5 to 14. They've also put her on antibiotics.
The nurses told the family it would be a good thing to let Emily rest today. They were watching her heart rate and blood pressure as they talked to Emily and it always increased. They thought it would help her today to not be stimulated.
So...Luke went home this afternoon and has been home with the kids today. So that's a good thing---I'm sure it comforted the kids to have their dad around! We know it may take awhile for Emily to recover completely. But that's the hope a nurse gave Kim today---that she will! So we praise God for every piece of hopeful, encouraging information. We also know we serve an awesome God Who is able.

I Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

"Be still and know that I am God." Emily, can you feel Him, can you hear Him? He is there with you. Let Him whisper sweet nothings in your ear while He repairs you body...He wants to make it better than EVER! Mostly, He wants you to know He loves you and is with you and will NEVER leave you!
I am praying for you, my dear Sister in Christ...

Em,

Love you sweet girl. We didn't come by to see you tonight because we're letting you rest. Hopefully we'll get to see you on Thurs. In the meantime, we're praying like crazy. I know God's going to do it!What a testimony you will have of His faithfulness! Love you more than you will ever ever know!

Luke and Emily,

I just heard Emily's story today through Heidi Evans' blog. May GOD place His peace in your hearts during this time, and touch Emily with His healing hands!
